Tasmanian Blue Gum is a tall eucalyptus native to Tasmania and southern Victoria, with distinctive powdery blue-grey juvenile foliage, peeling bark, and a capacity for very rapid growth that can see trees reach impressive dimensions within a relatively short timeframe.

It is often associated with shelterbelts, pulpwood and carbon plantings, however it has excellent value as a structural and furniture grade hardwood when pruned and managed for large-diameter sawlogs.

Due to its rapid growth rate it represents an early entry point into farm timber production in the right settings.
