MISSION
AND VALUES
GROUNDED’s aim is to be the most fun, intimate and informative soil and food event on the calendar.
To disseminate as much incredible knowledge as we can between landholders and food systems thinkers of all ilks.
To provide a joyous, inclusive festival on a working farm, where knowledge is key.
To help growers with real life skills to heal the land while making money.
To spread the word that farming better is the answer to so many of Earth’s ills.
We take the best knowledge holders from around Australia and beyond to share their wisdom on how to rebuild soil and encourage biodiversity all while running viable financial farm businesses. We look at food systems as a big part of the agricultural landscape, and want the most vulnerable in our midst to be able to access great things to eat for them, for their community, for the planet. To do this we think we need to throw in good food and wine, a social aspect and music to make it more fun!
To ensure a depth and breadth of topics covered, to suit growers and food systems thinkers of various experience.
To provide a safe, fun, inspiring place for landholders and managers and their supporters to learn, share, socialise and network so they can take real life skills back to their own patch of land.
To provide working examples of methods to grow and distribute better food, both in person, and through talks.
Real change enacted on-farm and in the community by participants once they return home.
