He does this by sharing the concept of no-waste cooking and preserving. Located in the Southern Forests town of Manjimup Western Australia, Willarra Gold have been inspired by the flavours of the local region to create hand made products from their very own grown passionfruit. Willarra Gold also work closely with other local farmers to develop the most flavourful, sustainable and fun products for the whole family to enjoy.

Mitch is a third generation farmer, following in the footsteps of his father Garry and mother Tracey, who have been farming for decades, and grandparents, who paved the way by developing the land, and building solid foundations in animal husbandry, growing fresh produce and food preservation.

Jennifer was raised in nearby Bridgetown and has gained a great knowledge of the region and local ag sector working with the Southern Forests Food Council, an organisation that represents farmers and food producers. Jen is a true advocate for the region and loves sharing her knowledge with others.

The farm is kept busy producing Hass avocados, passionfruit and managing livestock for production of lambs and beef cattle. You can see the influence of the generations with Mitch’s grandmother Dot, who is an avid preserver, taking a leaf out of her book in some of our value-added products.

The family farm takes pride in making products that are high quality, delicious, nutrient dense and grown regeneratively in a matter that utilises natural biodiversity and improves the land on which they farm.  For over 30 years Willarra Gold has had a biological emphasis to growing food, this means to start by building healthy soils to produce healthy food. It also meant that growing up on the farm everyone took a keen interest in the way nature behaves and how native flora and fauna can help aid in farming sustainably, and now regeneratively.

MUSIC

Indie-folk artist Lemon Myrtle is a storyteller & singer of songs that bring us closer to ourselves, each other & the good earth. Lover of people & compost & the sound of voices singing, she uses music to remind us of the power & joy of ‘together.’

Formidable Vegetable are a fresh harvest of hope in a wild and overgrown world.

Whether it’s performing at Glastonbury, delivering TEDx talks or shaking things up at the United Nations the band, hailing from Western Australia have something special and unique that the whole village will dig.

Whether equipped with a wheelbarrow load of tasty, dancefloor-igniting electro beets or stripped back to their live instrumentation (consisting of brass, strings and a ukulele), FoVeg plant seeds of inspiration at every festival, fair and community garden they perform at. Having toured to over 20 countries and with seven records under their belt, the band is paving the way for an entirely new kind of creative action for composting the problems of the world and growing abundant, community-scale solutions in their place.

Over the past decade, they have become a favourite around Australia and on international festival circuits, having played at some of the biggest events in the world (including the likes of Woodford Folk Festival, BOOM, Glastonbury, Electric Picnic, City of London Festival, Green Gathering and ViViD) alongside monumental acts such as Radiohead, Tame Impala, Dolly Parton and The Rolling Stones.

STALLHOLDERS

The Southern Forests Food Council was founded in 2010 by a group of passionate local producers who recognised that the wealth and abundance of produce grown in the region made it perfect for major food production and agri-tourism. Its role was formalised in 2012 after receiving a $5 million investment under the State Government’s Royalties for Regions initiative. The investment was part of a $7 million Royalties for Regions allocation to the Shire of Manjimup for its Agricultural Expansion Project.

The State Government renewed its support for the Southern Forests Food Council in October 2023 with a $725,000 investment over two and half years to support the Food Council to implement strategies that secure its long-term sustainability and enhance the Genuinely Southern Forests brand.

The Food Council is committed to unifying the area’s world-class and diverse producers to strengthen the region’s economy, attract investment and export opportunities, promote regional pride, and create sustainable jobs. It represents local producers, culinary and agri-tourism operators who live and work in what is WA’s premier food bowl, aiming to ultimately establish the Southern Forests as an internationally-recognised agricultural region and culinary tourism destination.

Into The Wild Escapes offers more than 60 off-grid tiny home stays in secluded locations across regional Australia. Each tiny home is intentionally placed to immerse guests in nature where there’s nothing man-made in sight, just space to fully switch off and unwind in complete privacy.

Our tiny homes are designed with a minimalist ethos, but that doesn’t mean going without. Guests can expect premium comforts like French linen bedding, full kitchens and bathrooms stocked with quality products, heating and air conditioning, outdoor BBQs, and fire pits – and in many locations, decks with outdoor bathtubs or hot tubs under the stars.

We’re proud to work with landowners who share our values of sustainability, slow living, and deep respect for the land.

Founded in 2007, CarbonLink entered the soil carbon space with the goal to improve land health across Australia – long before it became a market. Since then we have led the way in profitable regenerative agriculture by delivering full-service, high-quality soil carbon projects.

Our advice is tailored to a landholders operation, soil, rainfall, and climate, so they can make an informed decision about whether carbon farming is right for them and their business. We list our customers as proponents because we invest in them, and we believe we can help them succeed.

Our team consists of agronomists, scientists, soil specialists, GIS analysts, and project managers. Over 25% of our staff hold Doctorates, and we are one of the few companies in the sector with a dedicated in-house R&D team. Now with nearly two decades of experience and patented SCANS technology developed with CSIRO, we’ve delivered the majority of Australia’s soil carbon credits across our 350,000 hectares of land under contract.

That’s leadership you can trust.
